We had a green heron stop by early this morning.

I think I became interested in birds after seeing one of these and trying to figure out what it was.

Its fancy feathers and neck calisthenics were fascinating.

You see what I mean? I don't know if this is a green heron's version of the salute to the sun, or if there was a juicy bug flying over?

We have also had a really loud parrot doing fly bys in the morning, perhaps the green heron was trying to stare the parrot down. No one birdish seems to like that parrot - he is harried by other feathered folk all the time.

Hmm. The green heron looks a bit addle-pated here.

Sorry. Didn't mean to insult you.

Sorry! I mean it! Really!

I didn't mean to ruffle your feathers.
(stop booing. I had to write that. Had. To.)

Oops.
